Ron Haritan Jewelry

During his college years studying architecture and art history, Ron Haritan was inspired by the traditional craftsmanship of the stained glass windows adorning European churches and cathedrals. Originally, he created elaborate stained glass panels. Over the years, he expanded his knowledge and skills in all phases of glass from glass fusing, to lampwork and glass etching. Today he has primarily moved to new smaller, unique wearable art. Using multiple layers of colored and textured glass he would stack the glass and then put the glass into the kiln to create the desired result. In much of his work, Ron used combinations of other materials, like various metals which are often used to frame, hold, support and accent the glass elements. This allowed him to go beyond the normal parameters and create wondrous illusions. The glass speaks for itself. Even with all the naturally changing moods of glass, each piece comes alive with changes in color, texture and shape to bring out its own magic and appeal.
