Paddle Boarding Excursions
Yes! We still offer paddle boarding excursions after Labor Day. Please make an appointment as we operate on an abbreviated schedule.
All of our excursions come with a free lesson, gear transported to the paddle site for you, safety equipment and we’ll do our best to provide photography too. You call the appointment desk to make a reservation and you’ll receive driving directions via email to go straight to the paddling venue.
Learn from one of our many ACA or PaddleFIT Certified, friendly and patient instructors. Excursion locations vary from day to day based on weather conditions. Call 302-260-9008 to find out where we will be paddle boarding each day. It’s best to make a reservation at least 24 hours prior but we will accept reservations the day of if we have room.
Customers who have purchased boards from us are welcome to bring their boards and come on any of these tours for FREE (exception NightSUP and SUPYOGA). Our Facebook Page is a great resource to see where our daily excursions will be offered. Click Events.
Guidelines for Children Minimum suggested age for paddle boarding is 8 and the child must be capable of paddling themselves for 1 hour. Minimum age is 16 for Cape Henlopen, NightSUP, Harpoon Hanna’s and the Bucket List. Minimum Age for Self Serve is 18. Children under 8 years old may ride along with an experienced adult paddle boarder 21 or older only if the child knows how to swim. Our guides reserve the right to determine if the conditions and/or venues are safe for ride-alongs.
Sometimes children tire easily and this causes our guides to have to tow children back in. This situation poses a safety situation for our other guests as our guides would not be able to adequately respond to a true emergency if they are towing a child who is tired or just doesn’t want to participate anymore.
Be sure to read the FAQs section of our website.
Click to Schedule Your Adventure We pick 1 or 2 venues each day (usually Fresh Pond and Arnell Creek). We can’t guarantee a different venue without 24-48 hours advance notice. We’ll certainly do our best to try though.
As the area’s premiere paddle board outfitter, we offer MTI Inflatable waist pack life vests to our guests for their comfort while paddle boarding. Please watch this video about Coast Guard requirements for paddle boarding. This will show you how to inflate your life vest in an emergency. If you inflate your life vest unnecessarily, there is a $20 charge to replace the CO2 cartridge. We require that children under 16 wear a standard PFD. We have standard PFDs for anyone who feels safer wearing one.

More Info Paddle Board Rentals and Tours/Lessons Morning and evenings are the best time to go paddle boarding. At an unsheltered venue, afternoon winds can make paddle boarding more challenging. We know all the sheltered venues and we’ll launch from those locations when the winds pick up. Rent a paddle board for an hour, a day, a weekend or a week at our place or yours. Walk-in’s are welcome (at times of high tide), but we can only guarantee boards and guides will be available if you make a reservation and pay in advance.
We offer guided excursions at various locations depending on the tide and wind. This is intended to give you the best experience. All of our excursions offer the basic instruction needed to have a great experience! A minimum age of 8-10 is suggested and all participants must know how to swim.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to sign a waiver and prepare for your adventure. We try our best to launch tours on time. If you are more than 20 minutes past your launch time, we reserve the right to either charge a service fee of $30, if we’ve deployed a team off site to serve your group and they’ve had to wait for you, and/or bump your group to the next scheduled launch time and location.
Weather If for any reason weather prevents your tour from launching, we will reschedule your tour or provide a rain check. If rescheduling is not an option, no problem! You’ll receive a full refund. Rain and storms on Delmarva are usually very localized. If it’s raining in Rehoboth, it could be sunny in Fenwick. If you have any weather questions, please call. We do not launch if there are high winds or lightening, but we will launch in drizzling conditions. In the event of wind, low tide or traffic congestion, we reserve the right to relocate the group to an alternate venue within a 10 mile radius. Afternoons tend to be breezy. When winds increase, the down-wind fun run adventure begins!
